Chocolate Hazelnut smoothie



Ingredients You’ll Need

To make this hazelnut smoothie, you’ll need just 4 simple ingredients:

    Hazelnuts (or hazelnut butter)
    Medjool dates
    Cacao powder
    Vanilla extract

 

How to Make It

To make this Nutella-inspired smoothie, blend together the hazelnuts, dates, cacao powder, vanilla, and water. There’s no need to remove the papery skins from the hazelnuts, unless you want to.

 
The blender should take care of them!

Blend until you can longer see any large pieces of dates or hazelnuts. Stop and scrape down the blender, as needed.

Once it’s smooth, you can add in some ice and blend again, until it has a slushy texture.

 

 

 It reminds me of a milkshake, only without the milk. Start with less ice, and add more to taste. The more ice you add, the more diluted the flavor will be.

Adding more ice also adds bulk to this smoothie, so it will determine how full your glass will be.

Hazelnut Butter Cookies

You won't be able to get enough of these delicious hazelnut flavored cookies.

 

                                                                                                Ingredients for the Hazelnut Butter Cookie Recipe

  •      1/2 (half) cup of hazelnut paste
  •      1/2 (half) cup of powdered sugar
  •      1 egg (at room temperature)
  •      1 teaspoon baking powder
  •      1 packet of vanilla
  •      1/2 (half) teaspoon of starch
  •      50 grams of butter
  •      1/2 (half) teaspoon of oil
  •      Flour (about 2 cups)

Put all the ingredients in the kneading bowl and collect the cookie dough.
 

Roll out palm-sized pieces from the dough and place them on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
 

Bake in the oven preheated to 175 degrees for about 15-18 minutes and remove from the oven.  (it will be a little soft when it first comes out of the oven, it will harden as it rests, so don't cook it for too long)
 

Store the cookies in a covered container.

Hazelnut Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts, chopped

Hazelnut Buttercream Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp hazelnut spread
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk or cream

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, hazelnut flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir in the chopped hazelnuts.

  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth out the tops.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing them from the pans and transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. To make the frosting, beat the butter in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, hazelnut spread, vanilla extract, and milk or cream. Continue to beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.

  8. Once the cakes have cooled completely, place one cake layer on a cake plate or serving platter. Spread a layer of frosting on top, then place the second cake layer on top.

  9. Spread frosting on the top and sides of the cake, making sure to smooth out the surface. Garnish with chopped hazelnuts or chocolate shavings.

  10. Serve and Enjoy!

Note: you can also add some chopped hazelnuts to the frosting to get a more nutty taste.
